The Guest House BandB dates back nearly 300 years, it is a warm and relaxing country house situated at the top of Loch Earn at Lochearnhead in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park on the border of Perthshire and Stirlingshire.The 4star BandB guest house accommodation offers a warm, friendly relaxing atmosphere with plenty of public space including cosy licensed bar, bay window seating area and lovely garden to sit and chill.All our 6 bedrooms in the BandB guest house are en-suite. We provide home cooked evening meals with varied menu at reasonable prices; we will try and cater for most diets by prior arrangement.Ideally placed at the start of the Scottish Highlands where you can enjoy dramatic scenery, castles, walking, golf, fishing, whisky distilleries, history and heritage, lochs and gardens, shopping or just generally relaxing in our traditional home. The more energetic can bag a Munro or maybe a Corbett or two. The house is adjacent to the Sustrans number 7 cycling route stretching from the bottom of Loch Lomond through Callander, Balquhider, Strathyre, Killin, Kenmore, Aberfeldy to Pitlochry.Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Oban, Stirling, Fort William, Glencoe are all around 1 hours drive from Mansewood Country House Lochearnhead.

Directions

Coming from the southFrom either Glasgow or Edinburgh follow signs for Stirling, from Stirling take the A84 and follow signs for CallanderCrianlarich, keep going through Callander and Strathyre. Lochearnhead is the next village on from Balquhidder Station. As you approach Lochearnhead you will see a sign for the South Loch Earn Road, we are 100 metres after the sign on the left.Coming from the NorthTake the A9 to Perth, then take the A85 to Callander following Loch Earn. Once you reach the top of the Loch at the junction of the A85A84 turn left towards Callander, you will see the house half a mile after the junction, on the right opposite the old church.Coming from the WestTake the A82 or A85 to Crianlarich, then follow signs for LochearnheadCallander. We are located on the right just outside the 30 mph speed limit sign as you leave Lochearnhead.Surrounding areaLochearnhead has a variety of activities to offer including sailing, water sports, bird watching, water skiing, Munros within walking distance, cycle hire (we are on route 7) and fishing on various lochs and rivers. Small villages dot the landscape, each with its own story to tell from the past.
